Educational Development Corporation publishes Usborne Books and the Kane/Miller line.  EDC has wonderful reference material for school libraries and classrooms. We have a wide selection of genre for your school or library. Schedule a personal appointment, and I will show you Usborne’s wide selection of books. We provide full cataloging and processing services.

 

                               

We love to do book fairs for elementary schools, middle schools, preschools, churches, and any organization that wants children to have access to books. We set up the book fair, staff it during certain times if you need us to, and dismantle the book fair. Your school will earn up to 50% in free books, which include library bound editions. Cash options are available also.

Reach for the Stars!!

Reach for the Stars is a reading incentive program in which the students commit to reading (or being read to) for 300 minutes over 2 or 3 weeks. The students collect pledges for the 300 minutes of reading. The students then receive 50% of their pledge money in Usborne Books to keep for themselves and the other 50% of pledge money is donated to the school or organization in the form or books or books and cash. There is a 100% return on the money.

 

                                 
If a teacher, school or organization has a grant or donation of at least $200.00 to purchase books, Usborne will match the grant at the 50% level. For example, if a school has a $500 grant for books, we will add $250 and the school will receive a total of $750.00 of Usborne books.  This grant matching program is utilized frequently by Title 1 coordinators to boost their Title 1 funding.   

All teachers have friends who are book lovers.  This is a simple way to earn over $100.00 in free and reduced books for your classroom or home library.  You can host a book show in your classroom or home, an e-show or e-fair which is all done with people ordering online, or a catalog/flyer show. Your class can even do their own Reach For the Stars!
